I still see war everywhere …
There is an article I wrote here titled “They see war everywhere”This is like a continuation.
After watching the RNC, I got the sense that they were trying to make the coming election go back not only to Vietnam War but also to the current war in Iraq.
This infuriates me deeply. After several thousand American priceless lives lost, trillion dollars cost, I am among many who do not feel America is any safer after all these years of war and expenditures. And they are still are NOT talking about the immediate daily war here at home where people feel unprotected from:
1.Citizens are not protected from sky rocking prices in the gas pumps.
2.Citizens are not protected from rising prices in grocery stores.
3.Citizens are not protected from failing banks.
4.Citizens’ investments are not protected from investment banks
5.Citizens are not protected from credit crunch. Thousands who have income are denied loans because of this housing debacle.
6.Citizens are not given any safety valve or safety rope to help them deal with the problematic mortgage loans in order to keep their home.
If you ask me and thousand others, there is nothing of greater concern to me right now than economic safety and security and this government and presidential campaigns are not doing substantial to provide that to the public like you and me.
The painful irony is this:
The humongous banks and mortgage companies are the ones protected from their mistakes and stupidities in the past. Why are those being absolved while the little guy are punished for their poor financial judgment.
Many of those whose loans went bad are not equipped adequately with the financial sophistication to scrutinized and analyzed terms to the loans they entered into. That for me is a legitimate excuse.
Now what excuse does the investment bank from failing at investing?
What excuse does the insurance company to fail at managing insurance risks?
What are these companies excuse?
Why are they ones being bailed out?
I do not know about you but there is serious wrong with this picture for me. It is more than just ironies. In a community I used to reside, more around 10 % homes were foreclosed. Those families did not get any help or bailout from the government.
Several million s families lost their homes
Several millions lost their jobs
Thousands of family relationships were severed and lost
These are not being addressed in the presidential campaign.
What it seems to re-down to is the public is on their own!
